Are you a franchisee for a vehicle manufacturer?

No. We are 100% independent from all vehicle manufacturers. We can service or repair any car and sell any car we choose. Equally important is the fact that we are not biased towards one brand. You won’t find a blinkered view of how ‘good’ a particular brand is, just a realistic and honest opinion.


My car still has its manufacturer’s warranty. Can Horsepower service my car without invalidating it?

Absolutely! No matter what the main-dealer says, you are entitled to have your car serviced by Horsepower without it invalidating your warranty as long as the service is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s schedule (which it would be!). So give us a try - you’ll save a fortune!


Are you able to service a car to the same standards as a main dealer?

Definitely. Actually we believe we offer better value. For example, you will NEVER wait weeks for an appointment, and we will definitely attend to your vehicle within a couple of days in the event of an emergency. Our technicians have been trained to high standards, the majority having come from main-dealers. Our labour rate is a fraction of the cost of a main-dealer’s and yet we have full main-dealer facilities and offer an equivalent range of services.


Will you give me a quote before starting work?

Of course. Estimates in-person or in-writing must be provided before any work begins. No work will be undertaken without your prior to consent.


Can you lend me a car while mine is being serviced?

Yes. We offer a FREE Courtesy Car during any major service or repair. All you have to do is make sure you have fully comprehensive insurance that covers use of our loan cars.


Can you help me find a car?

Yes, finding our clients quality new or used cars is part of our business. We have access to thousands of vehicles for sale within the trade.


How do I know the cars are in top condition?

We offer two types of sale cars. Quality Assured (QA) cars are those we have sourced and purchased ourselves and they come with a 104-point of sale inspection, a free 3-month AA Warranty and a free MOT 4 Life. We also sell Part Exchange (PX) vehicles, cars that we have received as a part-exchange on a sale car. These do not come with the same checks but offer EXCELLENT value for money as they are priced competitively to reflect this. We recommend when purchasing a PX car you get this mechanically checked yourself - we are happy to do this for you. We use a 3-step process to ensure quality. Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed.


Do you offer delivery?

Yes. We can provide nationwide delivery for any used car sales. Just ask your sales advisor for more information when you purchase the car.


Am I protected if I buy a used car online?

Yes. You can watch our FAQ video below to find out more but rest assured, you are protected by all the usual consumer trading standards. This includes a 14-day 'cooling off period' where you can cancel your order within 14 days for a full refund.


What is the Free MOT for Life?

If you purchase one of our Quality Assured cars, you get a free MOT for Life with Horsepower. All you have to do is service your car with us and we'll give you a free MOT for the life of that vehicle.
